Brand experience. User experience. Sales experience. How a potential or existing customer feels when they use your products, visit your site or office, or receive information about what you have to offer isn’t out of your control. It’s all part of a well-crafted, calculated business strategy, and Kris Colvin knows how to create an experience that will engage people and get results. She created this blog, Design for Users, to help other designers, developers, user experience specialists and company managers understand how they can improve the experience people have and increase positive results.

Kristi (Sadler) Colvin has been creating business communications since 1993 for leading software organizations and small-to-medium size start-up companies. From a foundation in print design and retail visual merchandising, she added web site design, user interface design (gui design + information architecture + branding + usability) and software usability to her creative skill set and now specializes in software design.
Working as both a self-employed independent consultant for a diverse clientele and a user experience manager for several software companies has given her many opportunities to help businesses and organizations improve their image, meet business goals (like entering new markets, surpassing a competitor or becoming acquired) and increase revenues.
In addition to her extensive work experience, Kristi was very active in the design and usability communities when living in Texas as Co-Founder of the Houston Chapter of Digital Eve and Founder of the Houston Chapter of Webgrrls International. She has been a member of the Usability Professionals Association and is a Certified Usability Analyst by Human Factors International.
